Turn On YouTube Restrictions from the Android App

YouTube Access

From a Parent's Android phone or tablet:

  1. In the Family Zone app, login as a Parent
  2. In Family, tap on your Child's name
  3. Move down and tap on Internet filters & rules
  4. If this is your first time customizing filters and rules, tap Next after reading the instructions
  5. At the top of the screen, tap Web categories
  6. Tap Search and streaming media
  7. Move down to YOUTUBE
  8. Tap the Routine time you will allow this type of YouTube content
    Blue is allowed
    Red is blocked

Blocking Mature Content also blocks uncategorized videos. The person making the video sets the category of their video. YouTube uses software to spot-check the video producer's categories. Family Zone uses YouTube's category data to allow or block videos on your Child's devices to match your settings.
