Set a PIN
Parents set up Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) to allow Devices to be shared. When a Family member logs into a Device with their PIN, their web content settings are applied to the device.
From a Parent's phone or tablet:
- In Family, tap your Child's icon
- Tap Edit
- Go to the bottom of the screen
- At Allow device borrowing using PIN, tap the toggle
- Enter 4 numbers
Each Family member needs a different PIN
You cannot use the same PIN twice - Your Child's details will be displayed
Note you can see your Child's PIN when you are editing their details
Tap Done
The PIN can be found at any time by editing the User's details and looking at the bottom of the screen. The PIN can be erased by turning off the Allow device borrowing toggle. A new PIN can be set by turning the toggle back on.
A Parent can use their PIN to update the Connect App settings or turn off filtering and allow full access to a Device. A Child can use their PIN to access a shared device like a computer or laptop. The Child will be able to access age-appropriate web content on the Device they are borrowing.
