Usage Details

Parents can review the ratio of how their monitored Family members use the internet. Use these comparisons to talk about balancing online activities with studying, sports, and social activities. 

Summary of Usage

From the Parent's phone or tablet:

  1. In Family, tap on your Child's icon 
  2. Go to the bottom of the screen
  3. Tap Usage 
  4. Tap to select
    Allowed traffic - percentages of categories of online activity (Premium only)
    Blocked traffic - percentages of categories of blocked traffic (Premium only)
    Internet activity - a timeline of all web content accessed by your Child (Insights and Premium)
  5. Select a time range

You will be able to review up to 4 weeks of web traffic from your Child's monitored Devices.

Usage Details 

Applies to: Insights and Premium Members 

  1. In Usage > Internet Activity, notice high levels of daily activity
  2. Tap on the date in the list 
  3. Tap on a time in the list
  4. Review the list of traffic
    Note the web addresses and time of day

Blocked Traffic Details 

Applies to: Premium Members 

  1. In Usage > Blocked traffic, tap on one of the Categories 
  2. In the Category, tap on the subcategory 
  3. Review the date, time, and URL
    Discuss the blocked web content with your Child

Monitoring Options

Parent's can see information about their Child's Android or iOS phones and tablets from the Connect App.

  • Location and Recent Activity - the last known location of a mobile device and its internet activity
  • Apps - a list of the apps installed on iOS and Android mobile devices 
  • Usage - comparison details of the amount of time spent by type of activity for phones, tablets, and computers
  • Snapshots - searchable weekly overview of family members' online activities for phones, tablets, and computers
