What is the difference between a password and a PIN?
Parents use a password to add, edit or remove details about the Family members. A Parent's password is required to install Family Zone onto a Child's device.
PIN (Personal Identification Number)
Parents or Children mange borrowing a phone, tablet or computer. The Parent logs into their Family Zone app or the Parent's Web portal to set PINS for their Child. The Parent uses their PIN to authorize changes such as changing Sleep time to Play or Study time.
Fingerprint ID and Face ID (biometric) Logins
Parents turn on optional biometric logins to prevent a Child from accessing the cyber safety settings on a Parent's phone or tablet. The fingerprint or face recognition is a fast way for a Parent to open the Family Zone app and manage settings. Biometric data is exclusively stored on your phone or tablet and cannot be accessed by Family Zone.
