Remove a Family Member
On a Parent's Android phone or tablet:
- Login to the Family Zone app as a Parent
- In the bottom-left, go to Family
- To remove a
Child - tap on the Child's name
Parent - go to the bottom, tap Parents and tap the Parent's name
- At the top-right, tap Edit
- Move down to the bottom of the Family member's details
- Tap REMOVE FROM FAMILY
- At the "Remove?" pop-up, tap Yes
You are done.
Note the first Parent to start the account cannot be deleted.
If a new Parent is taking over managing the Children's cyber safety, close this account and have the other Parent create a new account on their Device.
What is a Parent Versus a Shared Parent?
A Parent is a guardian in the home who is allowed to change the monitoring and edit Family details. A Shared Parent is a guardian or other parent with a separate Family Zone account with different monitoring rules for a Child's activity.
A Parent or Shared Parent can be used for any guardian such as grandparents or babysitters.
The Parent access is added or removed using the Family menu. The first parent (Primary Parent) adds Shared Parents through the Family section. The Shared Parent name and email is added to a Child's details.
