Age Appropriate Search Results

Parents can limit (or allow) adult search results from being displayed in Bing and Google. Parents can also limit their Child's access to alternative search engines. The settings apply to all kids in the age group.

On a Parent's iPhone or iPad:

  1. Sign in to the Family Zone app as a Parent
  2. In Family, tap on your Child's icon
  3. Move down and tap on Internet filters & rules
  4. Tap on Web categories
    Select Search and streaming media
  5. Make a note of any other Children in this Age Profile
  6. Move down to Search > Mature Search Content
  7. Tap to access by daily Routine times (Play, School, Study, Sleep)
Turn on (blue) to allow all search results
Turn off (red) to prevent adult or risky search results

Search Options

  • Google and Bing - general access to perform searches
  • Mature Search Content - block or allow results with adult content from Google or Bing
  • Other search engines  - general access to search websites run by companies other than Google or Bing, such as specialized image searches

The changes are saved as you turn on or off the safe search options. The new search settings will be applied to the devices connected to the internet within 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
