Apps on a Child's Android Device

Family Zone allows Parents to manage multiple types of devices from a central place. In the steps here, a Parent would use the Family Zone app on their iPhone to turn on or turn off the ability for a Child to install apps on their Android device.

Parents can prevent app installs when their Child tends to obsess over apps or install unsafe apps and the Child needs the Android device for School or keeping in touch with caregivers.

On a Parent's iPhone or iPad:

  1. Sign in as a Parent to the Family Zone app
  2. In Family, tap on your Child's icon
  3. Move down and tap on Internet filters & rules
  4. Tap on Web categories
    Select Device features
  5. Move down and tap Permit App Installs until the toggle is gray

Your Child's Android devices will update within 2 minutes of connecting to the internet. Family Zone will prevent apps from being added or removed from your Child's phone or tablet.
