Subscriptions through: Google Play on a Parent's Android phone or tablet

Google Play Subscriptions

Premium Members can filter and block web content and turn off email notifications. Purchase a Premium subscription through your Google Play account to get the ability to filter and block unsafe web content.

Insights Members can monitor their Children's website activity. Insights Memberships are free. Insights Members get on-demand and weekly reports to use a tool to talk to their Children about safe online behavior.

Buy a Subscription

On the Parent's Android phone or tablet:


  1. In the Connect App, tap Settings > Upgrade to Family Zone Premium 
  2. Tap the monthly plan or the yearly plan button
    Depending on your security settings, you may need to sign in to Google Play
  3. Tap Subscribe 
    Complete the steps to verify your purchase through Google Play 

Google Play will send a confirmation email to you. The email contains the renewal date and details.

Find Subscription Details 

  1.  Open Google Play 
  2. Tap your Google account icon 
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions 
  4. Tap Subscriptions 
  5. Tap Family Zone Connect 
  6. Review your next payment date, payment amount, and Google Play payment method 

Cancel a Subscription

  1. In the Connect App > Settings, tap Manage subscription   
  2. Tap Family Zone Connect
  3. Tap Cancel subscription 
  4. Tap a reason and tap Continue 
  5. Tap Cancel subcription again 
  6. When you see "Canceled" close Google Play 

Resubscribe to Premium

Want to get the filtering and device management services back? You can easily resubscribe to Premium through Google Play.

  1. In the Connect App > Settings, tap Manage subscription   
  2. Tap Family Zone Connect 
  3. Tap Resubscribe
