Custom Website Rules
Parents may want to stop their Child from getting to a website they are obsessing over or a website that conflicts with your Famliy values. You can block access to a website from your phone or tablet.
Approve a To Do Request for Access to a Website
If your Child happened upon a blocked website and they think they should have access, they can send you a request from Connect. You will see the request for access to the website in your To do.
- In To Do, find the request for access
Tap OPTIONS - Tap on the web address
- Review the website
Tap Done or Close - If you approve, tap one or more Routine times (Play, Study, School or Sleep)
This will be the time of day your Child can access the website - Tap ALLOW

Manually Block or Allow a Website
When you block or allow a website, the default blocks the website for all Children in this age group at all times.
You can modify the rule to allow access to the website during a specific daily Routine time (usually during Play time). You also have the option to block this website for all Children in your Family.
On your phone or tablet:
- In Family, tap on your Child's icon
- Go down the screen
- Tap Internet filters & rules
- Tap Web categories and select Websites
- Tap the ADD WEBSITE button
- Enter the "domain name" into the text field
Example: blockthiswebsite.com
Domain usually ends in ".com", but can end in other characters like ".io"
The domain name is not case sensitive, but may contain "-" (hyphens)
Do not type the https://, http:// or www
Do not include the extra characters after the web address (the path) like /shop or /?searchresults
Then tap SAVE
Block or Allow by Time of Day
On your phone or tablet:
- Optional, tap This profile only and select All profiles to block the website for all Children
- At the Change are being applied message, tap OK
- Optional, tap a Routine time, such as School, Study or Play to allow access at a specific time of day
Blue allows access
Red blocks access
Tap SAVE
If your Child tries to access the website when it is blocked, they will see an "Access restricted" message.
Change or Remove Website Rule
As a Parent, you may want to find and change your custom website rules. You can change the time when your Child can access the website or remove the blocking altogether.
On your phone or tablet:
- In Settings, tap Internet filters & Rules
- Tap Web categories
- Select Websites
- Select your Child's age group
- Tap
a. The Routine time (Play, School, Study, Sleep) to allow access (blue) or block access (red)
b. The X to remove the whole rule and allow the default filtering rules
The changes will be synced when your Child's Devices connect to the Internet.

- Search engines, SafeSearch, and streaming media (YouTube, Google, Bing ...)
- Websites (specific web addresses)
- Device features (Camera, In-App Purchases, App Installs ...)
- Social networks and games (Minecraft Online, Skype, Tinder, Twitter ...)
- Advanced (Malware, Piracy, New Websites ...)
