Can I block Apple iMessage?

As of iOS 13 (2019), Apple changed its technology and Connect App cannot block iMessage.

What can I block on Apple and Android devices?

Limit Access to iOS Device Features

iOS 13 (2019) and newer:

For iOS 12 (2018) and older devices, tap the toggle to allow (blue) or to prevent (gray) access to:

  • In-App Purchases
  • iTunes
  • Explicit iTunes Content
  • The device camera


Limit Access to Android Device Features 

For Android phones and tablets, tap the toggle to allow (blue) or prevent (gray) access to:

  • Install or uninstall of apps
  • The device camera


How do I block functions on a Child's phone or tablet?

Premium Members can sign in as a Parent from their mobile device to block functions mentioned above on their Child's phone or tablet. Here's what you can block.


Can I block text messages and multimedia messages?

No. Text and pictures sent using the mobile or cellular account (may be referred to as SMS or MMS) cannot be blocked.


How can I see who is being contacted or what is in a Message?

On the Child's device, open iMessage. Apple updates the features of iMessage regularly. See how to use iMessage at https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201287


Am I allowed to look at my Child's messages?
